Basic Pistol Course

NRA Basic Pistol Certification

3 hours in classroom, 2 hours of live fire drills

  • Pistol nomenclature
  • Types of pistols
  • Shooting techniques and reloads
  • Correcting a misfire, jam, double feed
  • Target acquisition
  • Drawing from a holster
  • Use of cover

Pistol rentals are available upon request. Gun rental charge and ammunition charge will apply (see pricing below). Hearing and eye protection will be provided by instructor free of charge.

Safeguard Tactical is locally owned and operated in Omaha, Nebraska since 2013. Our number one objective is to provide a safe and controlled environment that focuses on real-world tactics needed to safeguard yourself and loved ones. Our instructors bring a variety of experience in the realm of weapons tactics and readiness. We operate in the Omaha, Nebraska metro area, with range space available just 15 minutes South of I-80 and Highway 370.
